Description

These savory and perfectly seasoned Turkey Stuffing Balls bring all the comforting flavors of holiday stuffing into a convenient, bite-sized form. They are wonderfully adaptable, making them ideal for weeknight dinners or festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb Ground Turkey (lean)
6 cups Stale Bread (cubed, preferably day-old sourdough or white sandwich bread)
1.5 cups Chicken or Vegetable Broth (low sodium)
1 medium Onion (finely diced)
2 Celery Stalks (finely diced)
2 tbsp Fresh Sage (finely chopped)
1 tbsp Fresh Thyme (finely chopped)
1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (finely chopped)
1 Large Egg
2 tbsp Unsalted Butter or Olive Oil
1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
1/2 tsp Black Pepper (or to taste)
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bread: If your bread is not already stale, cube it and spread it on a baking sheet. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until lightly toasted and dry
  2. Sauté Aromatics: In a large skillet, melt butter or heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and celery. Cook for 5-7 minutes until softened and translucent. Stir in fresh sage and thyme, cooking for another minute
  3. Cook the Turkey: In the same skillet, add the ground turkey and cook until fully browned, about 8-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add the cubed stale bread, chicken or vegetable broth, whisked egg, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to the mixing bowl
  5. Mix Thoroughly: Mix all the ingredients gently until combined, being careful not to overmix
  6. Form the Stuffing Balls: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Using your hands, scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into a firm ball
  7. Bake to Perfection: Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brow
  8. Serve and Enjoy: Let cool for a few minutes before serving

Notes

Use slightly stale bread for best results.

Don't overmix to avoid tough stuffing balls.

Adjust moisture if needed based on bread type.
