Instructions
- Warm almond milk to 105-115°F, stir in maple syrup, and sprinkle yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes
- In a bowl, whisk together flour and salt. If using, beat egg separately
- Mix wet ingredients into dry until a shaggy dough forms
- Knead dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled
- Punch down dough, shape into rolls, and let rise for another 30-45 minutes
- Preheat oven to 375°F and bake rolls for 12-15 minutes until golden brow
- Brush with olive oil after baking and serve warm

For gluten-free rolls, substitute whole wheat flour with a gluten-free blend.
For a vegan option, omit the egg and ensure all other ingredients are plant-based.
