Ingredients
2 cups Fresh Lacinato Kale
1/2 medium English Cucumber
1 large Granny Smith Apple
1 inch knob Fresh Ginger Root
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
1.5 cups Filtered Water or Coconut Water
Instructions
- Wash all produce thoroughly under cold running water and remove the tough center ribs from the kale leaves
- Add the liquid base (filtered water or coconut water) to the blender jar first, followed by the lemon juice and ginger
- Place cucumber and apple chunks on top of the liquid, then pack the kale on top
- Pulse the blender five times on medium setting to break large chunks into manageable pieces
- Blend on high speed for 45-60 seconds until completely uniform in color
- Stir in chia seeds at the very end or pulse briefly, then taste and adjust lemon juice or water as necessary
