Description
Honey Garlic Chicken and Broccoli is a flavorful, one-pan dish that combines tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and a sticky, sweet-savory honey garlic sauce. Perfect for weeknights, it delivers restaurant-quality results at home.
Ingredients
1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 large head broccoli florets
1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
4–5 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp cornstarch
2–3 green onions, sliced
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
1. Pat chicken dry and toss with cornstarch until evenly coated.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, rice vinegar, and ginger; set aside.
3. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4. Add broccoli to skillet and stir-fry 3-4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
5. Return chicken to skillet. Pour in honey garlic sauce and simmer 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats chicken and broccoli.
6. Remove from heat, drizzle with sesame oil, toss to combine, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
Notes
Do not overcrowd the skillet when cooking chicken; cook in batches for a proper sear.
Use fresh garlic and ginger for best flavor.
For extra glossy sauce, mix 1 tsp cornstarch with 2 tbsp water and add at the end.
Store leftovers in airtight container in fridge up to 3 days; reheat in skillet with splash of water or chicken broth.
Serve with steamed jasmine rice, cauliflower rice, or simple salads for a complete meal.
