Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small yellow onion, diced
2–3 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup hot honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Cooked white rice, for serving
Sliced green onions, for garnish
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and cook 3-4 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.
2. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until fully browned, 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease if needed.
3. Whisk together hot honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and smoked paprika in a small bowl.
4. Pour sauce over cooked beef and stir. Let simmer 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.
5. Serve beef over cooked white rice. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Use pre-cooked rice or microwaveable rice for speed.
For DIY hot honey, mix honey with Sriracha to taste.
Store leftover beef and rice separately in airtight containers.
