Ingredients
1 sheet pre-made gluten-free puff pastry, thawed
2 medium apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), thinly sliced
1/2 cup caramel sauce
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp butter or coconut oil, melted
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Unroll the thawed gluten-free puff pastry onto the baking sheet.
3. In a bowl, toss sliced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
4. Arrange apple slices evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
5. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the apples.
6. Fold pastry edges over apples to create a rustic crust.
7. Brush crust with melted butter or coconut oil.
8. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until pastry is puffed and golden.
9. Remove from oven, drizzle with remaining caramel sauce, and serve warm.
Notes
Use firm apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith for best texture.
For dairy-free, substitute vegan butter and dairy-free caramel.
Avoid overloading with caramel to prevent soggy pastry.
Reheat leftovers in an air fryer or toaster oven for 5 minutes at 350°F.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
